The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), a not for profit professional society, represents the interests of interior designers and the interior design community. ASID is the largest organization for Interior Designers in the Nation and is comprised of 48 Chapters, Orange County Chapter being one of them. The society is lead by a volunteer board of directors that is comprised of a Financial, Membership, Professional Development, Student Representative to the Board, Board Member at Large and communications Director, overseen by the current president, and supported by the president elect and past president. The national society’s headquarters are based in Washington, D.C.
The American Society of Interior Designers is a professional organization for qualified interior designers. Membership in ASID requires accredited education, rigorous examination, and high standards of ethical practice. Interior Designers with the letters ASID after their name are identifiable as having met the highest professional standards in our field.
ASID is not an interior design firm and does not employ interior designers on staff. ASID staff are neither qualified nor at liberty to answer questions about specific design projects. For help with design projects, please return to the “Home”page and click on “Find a Designer”.
