Philosophy

The Bespoke Interior creates timeless interiors for the modern lifestyle. Our distinct designs are rooted in a modern traditionalist aesthetic embodying a refined, sophisticated palette that is anything but apologetic.

Founder and principal designer Stephanie’s refined, understated sensibility lends itself to the firm’s contemporary, classic design. Her aesthetic is expressed through careful attention to the technical details; a fascination with worldly cultures and art; and through the slow pace of Italian summers that make a beautiful life.

"Stemming from a family of entrepreneurs, I grew up rearranging displays in my mother’s store and watching in awe as my father shaped business after business. Having been born and raised in the small beach community of Newport Beach, my heart always longed for something greater. Even before my first visit to Italy, my Italian roots were palpable. I knew I had to to live there, to learn the beautiful language and to be amongst its passionate people … I had to be a part of una vita bella. When an opportunity presented itself to work in Turin, I had to take it. It was after that experience that I was inspired to pursue my passion for interior design. My love for design and for art continue to be inspired by travels abroad, especially Italy, where I have family and friends; and ultimately was married."


Background

Prior to founding The Bespoke Interior, Stephanie garnered experience with a national design firm, and more recently was a partner and a principal designer at an award-wining boutique design firm. Stephanie has focused extensively on the construction side of residential projects throughout her career, but her skill set encompasses all aspects of design from concept to implementation down to accessorizing. 


Stephanie has served as a Board Member of the Southern California Chapter of the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA). She has also spoken at DWELL on Design, the Laguna Design Center and Orange Coast College. She holds a BA in Business Administration from Loyola Marymount University and earned her second degree in Interior Design at the accredited Interior Designers Institute in Newport Beach.
